Clovis and Beyond

This site has information that highlights the conflict of Kennewick Man. Some people believe that he looks Caucasian, which would disrupt established theories that Europeans did not set foot on the New World unitl the Vikings. Scientists want to study him, but the First Nations have claimed him as an ancestor. The site unfortunately doesn't have any information itself about the case. It links off-site for furthur reading and information. Thus this site itself is not a very good resource for learning about the struggle with Kennewick Man.

This site also has information about the 1999 Clovis and Beyond conference held in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The conference was for researchers looking into the arrival of humans in the Americas. One of the issues contested the theory that the first people in North America walked across the Bering Land Bridge.

This is a picture of Projectile Points from the Aucilla River. This was part of an exhibit at the Clovis and Beyond Conference. This exhibit looked at Northern Florida, which has the largest collection of ivory forshafts and points. They suggested that this site was used for killing and butchering of animals.

This site was well layed-out, but it didn't have much information. It only had one blurb about Kennewick Man, and then linked off-site for all other information. Most of the site seemed to be dedicated to the Clovis and Beyond Conference.
