HarukaxMichiru (Sailormoon) Definitely my favourite yuri couple. There's also unquestionable proof for it in the series (not to mention the creator saying they're a couple). They share a deep, deep love which you can see expressed whenever they're together. Besides the hand holding, loving glances, and touches there's also the...ahem...dialogue. For example, Haruka: I want you to touch me gently. Michiru: Later, when we're alone. *_* And their death scene was just so...so...*wonderful*. It makes me cry every time. They even get to have a daughter (Hotaru, who they adopted), so they're a real family. It's just so sweet! HotaruxChibiusa (Sailormoon) No where near as canon as Haruka and Michiru, but, hey, who cares? ^_~ There's a little bit of dialogue in tankoubon 10 and a few pictures in the artbooks to make one wonder. And for a yuri fan, that's more than enough. I mean, they're already best friends... They're very cute together, and I think they'd make a wonderful couple. ^_^ UtenaxAnthy (Shoujo Kakumei Utena) Canon...maybe. Utena's so confusing in the first place that it's hard to tell. :P Every picture of them has them practically making out, though, so that should be more than enough. Utena strives to be a prince and a protect her princess, but maybe she's the one who really needs the protecting... At any rate, I really think they'd make a great couple (once Anthy is released from her "duty," and starts telling the truth). ReixMinako (Sailormoon) A tad more evidence in the manga for it than Chibiusa and Hotaru. After reading their exam battle, I really thought they'd make a great couple. Rei's upper-class attitude and air of superiority balance out Minako's clumsiness and goofiness. Besides, they both need someone who won't die in only a fraction of their lifetimes. MakotoxAmi (Sailormoon) Basically for the same reasons as Minako and Rei. Mako-chan and Ami-chan get along really well together, in both the anime and manga. They'd make a really good pair. KaoruxRei (Oniisama E...) Kaoru is obviously in love with Rei. It's too bad Rei already has someone she loves, or they'd be a really good couple (I think it would only make the student body at Seiran even more excited ^^). Rei needs to realise she's in a doomed and abusive relationship, even if the object of her affection "loves" her back. She could be so much happier with Kaoru-no-kimi. I think that's what Ikeda Riyoko-sensei wants us to see...and, knowing her, I don't think a happy end is in store (I *really* need to get the rest of this series!!). SakuraxTomoyo (Cardcaptor Sakura) One word: K * A * W * A * I * I !!! Deshou, deshou? Tomoyo is undoubtedly in love with her brunette best friend, but Sakura is too clueless to notice (hoe?). -_-;;; It's really too bad. Tomoyo seems doomed just like her mother was with Nadeshiko. Sigh. See, if Syaoran was out of the picture (maybe going off with Eriol, hehe), I think things could work out. But, unfortunately, I don't think that's what CLAMP has in store. Oh well, that's what fanfics are for, right? ^_^ |
